QEFP
Quick and Early Function Points
Practical Sizing Techniques Early in the Development Cycle
How do you estimate or size what you don't know? How much time is left for
this sprint or development phase? When will you be done? Measuring and
communicating progress is an
important part of delivering value to the business for Agile software teams
or traditional waterfall teams. Existing predictive
methods can be cumbersome and ineffective in
communicating progress or actual outcomes. There are methods that work
well early and for all kinds of development methods including Agile and
Waterfall.
This 1 day class provides training in an easy-to-understand concept and easy-to-use technique for sizing units of work to support estimating and measuring progress during sprints and traditional lifecycles.
DCG's one day QEFP Class is designed to help you learn the simple and powerful functional requirements measurement method and how to apply them in your business workstreams and culture.
Available exclusively as a 1 day on-site course

Head of Training, US Government Agency Overview
The Quick and Early Function Points class starts with a review of the
function point methodology and how QEFP developed as an alternative suitable
for early sizing. The principles of QEFP are detailed before an in-depth
examination of the traditional and modified counting process is performed.
The remaining time is spent learning which words map into which functions
and how to turn those words into numbers useful for all kinds of metrics.
