Software Sizing

Function Point Analysis
This two day course provides training and instruction in Function Point Analysis counting and sizing techniques. Application of these techniques is exercised using proven case studies included in the course material. The course material is compliant with the most current International Function Point Users Group counting guidelines.

Advanced Function Point Analysis
This one day course provides advanced Function Point Counting techniques. Using use cases and documentation describing GUI, OO, Client-Server, Web/e-Business and Data Warehouse systems as example, differences in counting methods for each of the different technologies are reviewed and attendees instructed in their application. Preparation for CFPS Exam
This one day course provides an in-depth review of the rules contained in the current IFPUG Counting Practices Manual as preparation for taking the certification exam. Helpful hints on exam preparation and test taking will be included, followed by a practice exam consisting of the same three parts as the CFPS exam.

Customized Function Point Analysis
This two day course provides training and instruction in Function Point Counting techniques tailored to a single corporate environment. This course is delivered to a single corporation or organization. By using the corporation’s actual project requirement and design specification documents, the instructor creates customized case studies and then incorporates them into the course material.

Function Point Analysis Using Introductory Case Studies
This one day course provides training and instruction in applying Function Point Counting techniques using a series of specialized exercises and advanced case studies.

Software Measurement

Developing and Deploying a Software Measurement Program (CSMS credit)
This 2 day course introduces the fundamentals of establishing an organizational-wide objective-based measurement program for the software engineering organization. Participants will receive templates, definitions, forms, questionnaires and reports. A Certified Software Measurement Specialist credit is available for attendees who take and pass this course.

Practical Software and Systems Measurement
This is a one or two day training session on Practical Software and Systems Measurement. PSM is an effective measurement approach that includes measurement based on project information needs, a systematic method of defining measures through the information model and a defined process for planning, performing, evaluating and establishing a measurement program.

Software Process Improvement

An Introduction to CMMI®
This three day course is designed to increase your organization’s understanding of the CMMI and how to apply it quickly and in your context. In addition, it will help you plan CMMI -based improvement programs more effectively and manage the change to your organization.

CMMI Compliant Measurement Planning Workshop, Level 2 and Level 3
This two day course provides a facilitated training and coaching experience for those in your organization, who are involved with the establishment and maintenance of your organization’s measurement program. This is an opportunity to learn how to satisfy the CMMI requirements for measurement among the various Level 2 and Level 3 Process Areas. This interactive workshop is designed to identify and meet specific measurement needs and provide you with the techniques necessary to identify the right measures for your organization.

Project Estimating
This one day course instructs participants on how to effectively estimate software projects earlier in the lifecycle with a higher degree of accuracy. Attendees will learn effective sizing techniques using the Function Point Analysis methodology. They will also receive a detailed estimating model that they can use on their projects when they return to their organization.

Reviews and Inspections
This one day course is intended for those individuals, who create various types of work products and have had little or no formal training in the inspection process. Throughout the course, participants will learn the benefits of disciplined team inspections, the roles they may be asked to perform in future inspections and the responsibilities of each, the steps necessary to complete a successful inspection and the rules and guidelines that increase the value of the inspection process.

IT Performance Improvement

ITIL Foundations Training
This two ½ day course is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the ten ITSM modules and provide certificate testing on the last day. It will also briefly cover additional ITSM areas of importance. The ITIL provides a thorough description of the processes involved in managing IT infrastructures at a world class service level. Become aware of the best practice approach to IT service support and service delivery. Learn about the ITIL management framework, basic terms, and concepts of the work processes used to manage an IT infrastructure and their organization in the ten ITSM Modules.
