Greetings!

DCG will offer Performance Insight to CIOs and CTOs
November 1st, 2008, DCG will provide the Information 5 office workersTechnology community open online access to aggregate views of the software development productivity figures from its proprietary industry database of Application Management Benchmarking data.

"DCG wants to promote statistically-sound measurement and benchmarking of software development performance in the IT industry. By making this data available, we believe CIOs, CTOs and Application Management leadership will have additional insights into the performance of their organizations which will prompt some interesting and beneficial questions. This has helped DCG clients in the past and we think it is time now for greater awareness and availability." - Mike Harris, DCG President.

The DCG database is an extensive three year rolling history of thousands of projects performed in various industries. This industry database consists of about 7,000 software development projects and maintenance support applications. The data is empirically and statistically verified with each project sized using function points counted by DCG's IFPUG-certified counters. Therefore this data is normalized and useful for broad benchmarking.

Access to the database will be provided via the DCG website at no cost. Interested organizations and individuals will only need to complete a simple enrollment form and then will receive a user ID and Password.
