A Cost-Effective
Approach to Enterprise wide Software Process
Improvement
Corporate
acquisitions and organic growth have resulted in the
proliferation of organizations that are geographically,
operationally and culturally diverse. This presentation from
last week's webinar presented by Pat Eglin, discusses how to
blend an enterprise wide approach to global process
improvement with an agile approach to local software process
improvement in such a way that large multinational
organizations can derive benefits.
To discuss how this approach can impact your
organization's SPI initiative, contact

Are you on track to win the
World Series or stuck in the seventh-inning
stretch?
 Executive questions:
"So you're CMMI 5.
Why are your concrete life preservers not selling?
So you're a PMP. Why
are projects late and over budget?
So you've installed GQM,
PSM, BSC, Six Sigma something and you can Benchmark
against 10,000 projects I know nothing about.
So you can count Function
Points. So what?
We have plenty of data but I need
knowledge. I need someone, who can turn measures
into meaningful metrics that can help me and our
Business. How can I find that person?
"
Ask for a Certified Software
Measurement Specialist (CSMS).
Anyone can
play baseball, but few make it to the "Big
Leagues." Fewer still make it to the All Star game
and even fewer to the Hall of Fame. So it is with
Measures. Anyone can measure, but few are
certified and fewer still can apply Measures and Metrics
to prove their Value as a Management Tool for better
decisions. If you are looking for an All Star
player the best place to look is to those that are
currently playing in the Big Leagues as a Certified
Software Measurement Specialist.
The Certified Software Measurement Specialist
certification is recognition that the Holder has
successfully demonstrated the application of the
principles of all of the above specialties. It is
more than just a test. Passing the exam is the
first step.
