Organizations that have on-going measurement programs often are faced with the question, how good is my data and can I trust it?

Often this question can be answered internally. When an outside, third party review is required, DCG provides an objective, third-party service to analyze and validate your existing measurement program.

The first question to be answered is, what does the current data mean and how can it be used to improve your organizations Application Development delivery.

A secondary purpose is to document an assessment of the validity and value of the functional sizing data (function point, Use case, SLOC) and other data collected. The resulting deliverable will contain the following information:

• Identification of the strengths and weaknesses of the data collected
• A GAP Analysis containing recommendations for changes of in scope data that would better enable our ability to analyze the available metrics and data to document application development and application support process improvement opportunities and the potential benefits associated with those improvements.

The second question to be answered is, how well has your organization collected the Functional sizing data and other data sufficient to give us confidence in our preceding data analysis.
